Session Description

Microbial Risk Management in the Fruit & Vegetables Standard

Today, consumers enjoy one of the safest supplies of fresh produce in the world. But, over the last several years, the outbreaks of foodborne illnesses caused by microbial contamination in fresh fruit and vegetables have increased. We will present the latest toolkits developed by our experts to help prevent microbiological contamination as well as an overview of specific training/education we have devised for auditors/inspectors, producers, retailers, farm assurers and consultants.

GLOBALG.A.P. Group Certification

The session will provide an overview of the proposed changes concerning:

  1. Alternatives to current inspection frequency and sampling methods.
  2. Approval of the extended requirements for internal traceability and segregation of products.
  3. Proposals for development of current requirements for internal inspectors and auditors and the internal controls.
