Hans Schoolderman is a partner at PwC and leads the Sustainability Team with 30 professionals in The Netherlands. The mission of PwC’s Sustainability practice is to co-create innovative values for our clients on their pathway towards a sustainable future by supporting further integration of responsibility into their business practices by contributing our expertise with passion and an open mind. Hans has an academic degree in Social Geography from the University of Utrecht, a post-graduate degree in Environmental Management from the University of Amsterdam and Wageningen, and a post-doc in Business Administration.
He has dual focus on sustainability and climate change. Hans has gained experience in advising companies in developing their sustainability strategy, and sustainable supply chain management, defining sustainability KPIs, preparing companies for sustainability reporting as well as auditing of sustainability reports. He has a strong focus on the retail and consumer industry and Food and Agri sector. Relevant clients include Ahold, Unilever, IDH Sustainable Trade Initiative, Rabobank, Zeeman, and Forest Stewardship Council The Netherlands
Hans is as an engagement leader responsible for the progress monitoring of IDH's Sustainable Fruit & Vegetable covenant. Through this work, he has gained deep insights and knowledge of the challenges facing traders and retailers in the 'transparency challenge'. We are facing a rising tide of transparency, connection, sharing, and open innovation.
