Fadi Abu Halimeh graduated from Jordan University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Agriculture ranking number 1 in his group. He started his working career with local companies in Jordan and soon moved to work with the international based international group known as Tetra Pack- Alfa Laval Agr. (Tumba – Sweden) where he moved and worked in many countries in several location as executive Agriculture Engineer.
During his 15-year career he has worked for Fresh World International (FWI Int.) as the Jordanian manager, where he worked to establish over 45 hectares of farms with the highest technology to produce selected crops and supply retailers. Part of his role was exporting to EU and GCC from FWI farm production as also to consolidated shipment procured from other farm productions. FWI had contracted suppliers and farms and managed to procure over 1,500 tons per month of fresh vegetable to supply retailers' chains with more than 25 outlets on a daily basis.
Since 2011 Fadi has worked as a consultant for GRM within Abu Dhabi Farmers' Services Centre (ADFSC) occupying the position of Produce Supply Unit Head. In this role he is in charge of fresh vegetable supply, which includes direct contact with farmers in order to arrange the crop planning and implementation, and through his procurement team he assists in providing technical advice to ADFSC extension services and to 1,200 contracted growers.
Fadi is highly committed to agriculture and has the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. He has an excellent understanding of grower requirements, for both crop agronomics and product market placement. Fadi works hard to help farmers develop new concepts by diversifying crops grown, extending growing season, field grading and packing, and proper harvest forecasting in order to help farmers successfully produce on a commercial basis.

Session Description

A platform consisting of 4 stages from 4 continents, where an expert group from a specific country demonstrates its success models and innovative solutions. The focus of each session’s presentation will be to show how each business model was designed to adapt to the specific market conditions and requirements. They demonstrate the varied solutions producer groups have developed to meet consumer and market demand for assured farm practices, and show how their producers have benefited from these efforts.

The 45-minute presentations, which include a 15-min Q&A session, will be repeated a total of three times, giving delegates the opportunity to hop from one stage to the next and participate in all the sessions.
