Dave Sargent was born and raised on a dairy farm near Prairie Grove Arkansas. At the age of 17, Dave joined the Army where he spent the next nine years. He attained the rank of first lieutenant. Dave lost his hearing and had to leave the Army. He went back to the farm where he was raised and went back to farming. Dave is still farming and, at the age of 75, has no plans to retire. He began selling to Walmart almost 15 years ago. He started out selling to one store and last year he shipped produce to 25 percent of Walmart’s Distribution Centers.
