Brian Albaum is a Science Analyst (Aquaculture) with the Seafood Watch program at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California. His role includes conducting environmental assessments of global aquaculture production and providing technical support to the international sustainable seafood movement. Previously, Brian worked as both an independent contractor as well as a member of a network of aquaculture consultants with varied projects including finfish production, environmental analysis, financial due diligence, market research, and crop mortality insurance. Brian studied marine biology and business at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada before completing graduate studies in aquaculture at the University of Stirling in Scotland.
