Bashir Hassan Yousif
Mr. Bashir Yousif has been working as a Food Safety Expert since 2008. In addition, he was the acting head of Food Studies and Planning Section of the Food Control Department from 2009-2010. From 2006-2008, he worked as a Food Safety Specialist at the Food Control Section of Dubai Municipality. Mr. Yousif holds a Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry & Food Sciences from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. In 1992, he completed a Masters degree from Utah State University in USA, specializing in dairy processing. Soon after graduation, he joined the food industry where he worked in many food factories in Canada and UAE. In 2000, he joined the Food Control Section of Dubai Municipality as a senior Food Health Officer. His areas of interest include developing food standards and regulations, food sampling, food risk analysis, and formulations of guidelines for the food industry. Mr. Yousif is a member of many committees that are concerned with the food safety & hygiene at Dubai Municipality and UAE.
