The GLOBALG.A.P. SUMMIT 2014 is now under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority.
H. H. Sheikh Mansour is a member of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi and is the half-brother of the current president of UAE, Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. He was appointed as the first Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, which is a merger of the Presidential Office and Presidential Court.
The United Arab Emirati politician is Chairman of the Ministerial Council for Services, which is considered a ministerial entity attached to the Cabinet, comprising a number of ministers heading the Services Departments. In 2007, he was appointed Chairman of the Emirates Investment Authority, which is considered a federal mechanism to invest financially on behalf of the federal government.
Since 2005, H. H. Sheikh Mansour has been the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, which has become an institute of excellence in food safety.
H. H. Sheikh Mansour is Deputy Chair of the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), and Chair of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), the Emirates Foundation, and The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, which awards soft loans and grants for developing countries. He is also Chair of the National Centre for Documentation and Research and The Khalifa bin Zayed Charity Foundation. Sheik Mansour has established scholarship programs for U.A.E students to study abroad. He is also chairman of the Emirates Horse Racing Authority (EHRA), emphasizing his love for sport.
Since 2005, His Highness has been Chairman of the Board of Directors for Abu Dhabi ‘s International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC). In that same year, he was also appointed both as a member of the Supreme Petroleum Council and as a member of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).
Outside of the Emirates, he is most popularly known as the owner of Manchester City Football Club.
